Happy New Year everyone!

Ricepaper 14.4 The Gender Issue should now be making its way to subscribers and newsstands across the nation.

Thanks to everyone who attended our 14.4 issue launch in December! I hope everyone had a great time, and found out more about the magazine.

Along with the new year also comes a new website! I’m proud to present a new look for the website – be prepared for a more dynamic online presence for our magazine. We will be launching a mini game based on the fantastic cover concept hatched up by our Art Director Rennard and the ricepaper art collective.

Ricepaper is a great community of artists, readers, and writers, and I hope to let that community shine through the online publishing tools we have at our disposal.

A bit about me: I was involved in the magazine from the 9 through to the 11 series in various capacities from copy editor, assistant managing editor, general tech person, to website manager. That time was one of the most intense moments in my life – wrangling mountains of submissions, meeting deadlines, and learning about the truly talented people in the Asian Canadian community.
