To many Koreans, Kwon Soon-geun is synonymous with rock and roll. In his early years, his band ADD-4, considered by many to be Korea’s first rock band. (Kwon refers to them as “The Korean Beatles.”). Now this 70-year-old former drummer has a new rock and roll persona in the social media world – his life has gone viral. His video of one of his lively performances (shot in 1991 in Toronto by TV Korea) has garnered thousands of hits from viewers around this world. Simply tagged as “Korean Drummer Rocks Out,” became so popular that it prompted other users to post previous clips of his performances.
