‘Reaching the World’ is Bangkok’s first international festival for writers and translators, bringing together authors from around Asia, the Pacific to share their work in conjunction with one of Asia’s longest-running and most prestigious literary events, the South East Asian Writers Awards (S.E.A. Write Award).

This literary showcase begins with a Two-day Summit, hosted by the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. This explores the value of literary prizes and the need for quality literary translations to take Asian writers to a global market.

‘Reaching the World’ also includes:

  • Creative Writing Workshops in PoetryFiction and Creative Non Fiction, led by international author-mentors.
  • Author Showcase Readings throughout the week by award-winning Thai and visiting poets and writers.
  • The S.E.A. Write Awards Presentations Gala Dinner at Bangkok’s legendary Mandarin Oriental Hotel, in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Mahidol.
