Ricepaper Receives Pandora’s Literary Award1 min read

This Friday, August 23rd at the Summer Dreams Literary Festival Award Night, Ricepaper Magazine will be receiving the Magazine Award from Pandora’s Collective as a magazine publisher who continues to support novice and established writers alike. The award will be presented by Evelyn Lau.

Everyone is invited to attend. The gala will be held at the CBC Studio 700 (700 Hamilton Street, Vancouver), and it will be hosted by Sean Cranbury and will feature a musical performance by  M’Girl. Award presenters include Fiona Tinwei Lam, Wayde Compton, Evelyn Lau, Steven R. Duncan, Dennis E. Bolen, and Chrystalene Buhler. Harp Music by Amanda Hartley. Joy Kogawa is also receiving an award. She is the recipient of The Pandora’s Collective Distinctive Body of Work Award, which is awarded annually in recognition of an author’s literary achievements. This award is in recognition of Joy Kogawa’s distinguished contribution to the literary community through her work and example.
