If you like your comedy with a pinch of ethnic and a hefty dollop of Bollywood spice, you won’t want to miss I Can’t Believe It’s Not Chicken: The “Best Of” Show, in which Vancouver’s wildly popular South Asian comedy heroes serve up a gut-busting buffet of laugh-till-you-cry, edgy, racy, fast-paced live sketch comedy.
Since 2010, the Butter Chicken gang has satisfied the palates of thousands of theatre-goers in shows like I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Chicken!—The Best Of ShowThe Butter Chicken ReloadedThe Butter Chicken’s Back… Alright, and The Fellowship of the Butter Chicken.
For the first time ever, Surrey audiences will be able to savour the spicy comedy without having to venture past the city limits.

The venue for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Chicken: The “Best Of” Show is the Newton Cultural Centre. On the menu: the best-of-the-best bits from the last three Butter Chicken shows. No topic is out of bounds for these comedy crusaders as they act, sing, dance, and Bollywood their brains out in rapidfire skits penned by the Bollywood Shenanigans crew.
I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Chicken: The “Best Of” Show features Munish Sharma, Leena Manro, Jason Vaisvila, Kallol Mitra, Carmel Amit (all from Vancouver), Sabrina Saran (Burnaby), and Stuart Gray (Surrey) and is presented by South Asian Arts and Bollywood Shenanigans.
I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Chicken: The “Best Of” Show runs for three days—a total of five shows—from November 15 to 17. Bollywood Shenanigans was created by Munish Sharma and Leena Manro with a mission to inspire the world and raise social consciousness through comedy, satire, bollywood song and dance. Bollywood Shenanigans brings together a talented collective of actors, dancers and writers who have appeared in film, television, commercials and other stage shows, with the goal to entertain audiences and to facilitate discussion on South Asian topics with respect to intercultural and cross cultural issues.
