Fountain: the source or origin of anything is a public art project that explores the metaphor of water, and expressions of fluidity, in our city’s built environment over the past century.
Part of it is a large printed work mounted on the side of the CBC in Vancouver.
The second is a web project, drawing on the CBC’s archives. Here, fluidity includes “information flow, in our digital internet age.” Independent curator Joni Low says, “We’re also interested in drawing attention to the nature of archives, in their current shift from material to digital records.”
