Dream of redesigning
Interior space
I just need a
Little refresh
Something to lift my spirits. To
Cover up this
Matte, non-colour
It’s
Sucking the life out of me

Swirl paint stick
Melted butter
Rises to the rim

Last time, we chose
Colours together
You said White
Would brighten my spaces, let
More light in

I ache.
It took,
Years to
Find the perfect hue

Long strokes try
To reach into corners
Arms aloft

My signature palette
Banana.
Split.

Identify is like our house being designed and redesigned over the years, as our tastes, and style changes. Touching poem.
